History Of Keshabpur High School( H.S)

As there was no high school in the village Keshabpur in 'The sixties' of 19th century, the decision for establishment of high school in keshabpur village by the villagers was accepted and approved unanimously in a general meeting convened at 'Keshabpur Binapani Vidyamandir' in 1968. The school was finally established in the same year with the indomitable will, enthusiasm and inspiration of the villagers. The founder members were Sudarshan Pal, Durgapada Panja, Prahlad Ch Polye, Madhusudan Polye and Prashanta Santra. Later Golam Aspia Mollah became lifetime donor member.
It was recognized as Junior High School ( V- VIII) wef 01.01.1970 vide WBBSE Memo No: 1770- Jr dt: 02.11.1970. Later it was upgraded to Secondary (wef 01.01.1984) and Higher Secondary (wef 2006-2007 academic session) School vide WBBSE Memo No: S/478 dt: 13.06.1984 and WBCHSE Memo No: DS(A) SD/28/Recog/06 dt: 12.06.2006 respectively. The school was converted from Govt. aided school to Govt. sponsored school vide WBSED Memo No-4883/RMSA/SL/5S-264/12, dt:30.09.2013. The aim of the school is not only to unfold the latent qualities of an individual or help to embrace knowledge but make continued endeavours to form character and increase the strength of mind in order to bring oneself from darkness into the light of being human.
